Job Alert : Vigyan Prasar has invited application from eligible professionals to fill their vacancies in Managing Editor (Consultant News), Sr. Copy editor (English), Reporter, Graphics Designer, Data entry operators/documentation/office asst. and Training Coordinator posts at Noida/Delhi office for its Indian Science News and Feature Service on purely contractual basis. VACANCIES LIST

1. Managing Editor (Consultant News)
> Vacancies : 01
> Qualification : (i)  Graduate from any recognised University/Institution;
(ii)  At least ten years of experience in media, with at least five years as Editor/Assistant Editor/Bureau Chief positions in a reputed news channel/print media;
(iii)  At least three years’ experience in managing news.
(iv) Age: More than 50 years and less than 60 years of age.
> Salary : Rs. 1,20,000/-

2. Sr. Copy editor (English)
> Vacancies : 01
> Qualification : (i)  Graduate from any recognised University/ Institution;
(ii)  At least 6 years of experience in media, with at least 4 years experience of reporting of Science and Technology.
Desirable: (i)  Degree/Diploma from a recognised university/ Institution in Journalism or Mass Communication or Electronic Media; and
(ii)  At least 2 years experience of science and technology coverage in English.
Age: More than 30 years.

3. Reporter
> Vacancies : 02
> Qualification : (i) Graduate from any recognised University/ Institution;
(ii) At least 2 years of experience of reporting in media.
Desirable: (i) Degree/Diploma from a recognised university/ Institution in Journalism or Mass Communication or Media Studies;
(ii)  Experience in science and technology reporting / writing.
Age: Less than 30 years.
> Salary : Rs. 30,000/-

4. Graphics Designer
> Vacancies : 01
> Qualification : (i) Graduate in Visual Communication and Multimedia/Fine Arts or Graduate in any discipline with Diploma/Certificate Course in Graphics Designing and Multimedia from a recognised university/ Institution;
(ii)  At least 5 years experience in design and creation of graphics in a media using popular computer aided design tools and software like 3D Max, Adobe, etc.
Desirable:
(i) At least 1 year experience of working on Corel draw, Photoshops, etc.
Age: Minimum 28 years
> Salary : Rs. 40,000/-

5. Data entry operators / documentation / office asst.
> Vacancies : 02
> Qualification : (i) Graduation from a recognized University/Institution;
(ii) At least Three years’ experience in data entry.
Desirable:
(i) At least two years of experience in media house
Age: Less than 30 years.
> Salary : Rs. 25,000/-

6. Training Coordinator
> Vacancies : 01
> Qualification : (i) Graduation from a recognized University/Institution; and
(ii) At least six years’ experience in media (Print or Television) and experience in Covering/ reporting Science and technology.
(iii) Experience in media training.
Desirable:
(i) Degree/Diploma from a recognized University / Institution in Journalism or Mass Communication or Electronic Media;
(ii) Full-time / part time media training / teaching experience
Age: minimum 35 years.
> Salary : Rs. 60,000/-
